Scott Brown - CEO/Owner

Scott is a native of Denton, Texas. Scott earned his BBA degree in Administrative Management and Real Estate at The University of North Texas. Scott's career in real estate began at the age of 18, when he began buying properties in the Denton area. Scott Brown Properties was founded in by Scott Brown in 1992 as property management firm handling primarily residential properties most of which were owned by Mr. Brown. Over the years the firm grew to manage more residential investment properties as well as multi-family and commercial properties owned by third parties. Since its founding, Scott Brown Properties has grown to be the largest property management company in the Greater Denton area. The REAL T TEAM was formed in 1999 as a natural addition to his firm by bringing on 3 agents to become a full service real estate firm. The REAL T TEAM has since grown to over 70 active agents in several branch offices and has become the largest residential real estate services firm in the Greater Denton area. As Scott continues to add agents and offices he has now begun to franchise The REAL T TEAM concept throughout the DFW Market and the State of Texas. Scott Brown Commercial was started as a division of Scott Brown Properties, but as his firm grew, Scott added talented commercial agents and brokers as well as a full administrative staff and officially spun it off as its own company at the beginning of 2004. Scott Brown Commercial has also become the largest commercial real estate services firm in the Denton County area. Scott has a proven track record for setting extremely high goals and achieving them. His professionalism and confidence ensure that you will receive the very best service for all your Real Estate Needs. Scott is happily married and has 3 children. He enjoys spending quality time with his family. He attends Cross Timbers Community church and attributes his successful business and family to the Lord.
Troy Ballenger - General Manager

Troy grew up on his family's farm in Harlingen, Texas. He graduated high school from Newman Smith in Carrollton and moved to Denton in 1996 to attend college at The University of North Texas. He is a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and graduated with a Business degree specializing in Real Estate in 2000. Troy started for Scott Brown Properties as a college intern and has worked for the company nearly 10 years. Troy enjoys hunting, fishing and softball in his spare time as well as spending time with his wife and little girl. Troy also currently oversees the maintenance department at Scott Brown Properties.
Chris Rosprim - Property Manager

Chris is a native TEXAN - born and raised in Austin. Chris began his real estate career while attending UTA in 1969 performing odd jobs, painting, changing locks, moving furniture (back when furnished apartments were offered!) and cleaning several swimming pools for several apartment complexes located in Arlington. Chris began his professional education in real estate and earned his real estate sales license in the mid 70's and subsequently earned a real estate broker's license through the TREC and remains one today. He also serves as Property Manager for Scott Brown Properties and with 10 years service with the company, it has enjoyed tremendous growth and recognition as being a leader in the commercial real estate arena in the area. Chris lives in Denton and has 3 grown children, a 3 year old "perfect" grand-daughter and is involved in many local activities and is very active in many area church and civic functions. He currently serves on the board and is immediate past president of the board of directors for the Greater Denton Wise County Association of REALTORS (750 members) for 2009. He is also active in such as TAR (Texas Association of REALTORS), NTCAR (North Texas Commercial Association of REALTORS), REALTORS Commercial Alliance and NAR (National Association of REALTORS). He is also active in the Denton Chamber of Commerce as well as the Argyle Chamber of Commerce and participates in many of their programs and events as well as both the Denton and the Argyle Economic Development Corp. to further promote and support business activities in both communities. He enjoys his children and granddaughter, reading books and magazines, cooking, BBQ, antiques, fishing, country, antiques, movies, all types of music, surfing the net and 2 Basset hounds - Nickel and Penny!
Linda Thompson - Accounting

Linda was born and raised in Dallas. She moved to Denton in 1996 and has been working for Scott Brown Properties since 2004. She has 20 years of accounting experience and we rely completely on her to keep the management accounts organized. Linda is a very hard worker, but in her spare time she enjoys reading and watching moves with her eleven year old daughter.
Tonya Craddock - Office Manager

Tonya grew up in Lewisville and has lived in Denton for the past 14 years. She has worked in the SBP office in several capacities, the latest of which is Office Manager. She brings over 10 years of office management experience to the position. Tonya also handles all of the collections for our residential properties. She is tough but fair and gracefully balances the line between responsibility to the property owners success as well as respectful negotiations with the tenants. Tonya is also part of our newly formed social committee and is excited about implementing new ways for Scott Brown Properties to reach out and positively impact our community. Tonya is a team player and enjoys promoting innovation and creativity in the office. In addition Tonya and her husband Terry have raised 4 children and thoroughly enjoy being grandparents to their 3 grandsons.
Jennifer Dansby - Leasing Manager

Jennifer was born and raised in Denton. She graduated from Denton High School in 2004 and has worked for Scott Brown Properties for 4 years. Most recently she has taken on the role of Leasing Manager. Jennifer is also attending UNT as a full time student and plans to graduate with a Bachelor degree in Business Management. Jennifer is dedicated to perfection and is continually working to improve our leasing procedures as well as strengthen relationships with our property owners. In addition Jennifer is a member of Cross Timber Community Church and volunteers regularly in the children's department.
Kira Parsons -

Kira was born and raised in Denton and graduated from Billy Ryan High School in 2002. She attended North Central Texas College and The University of North Texas where she studied Business Management. Kira is the Office Coordinator for Scott Brown Properties Maintenance. Since coming on board in 2008, she has been crucial to major improvements in the maintenance department. Kira has a working knowledge of computer programs, repairs, and general maintenance and assists a great deal with our IT issues. Kira has a positive attitude and shows much dedication and commitment to providing both tenants and property owners with exceptional customer service in regards to all maintenance issues. In her spare time, Kira enjoys playing with her dogs, watching movies, and going out with friends.
Norma Duncan - Receptionist

Norma was raised in California. She moved to Denton in 1993 and has worked for Scott Brown Properties for 8 years providing excellent customer service to current and prospective clients and customers. She helps a great deal around the office by assisting with the Real T Team, SBP Commercial, Residential, and maintenance. She loves all sports, but mostly baseball; her favorite team is the San Francisco Giants.
Ryan Davenport - Leasing Agent

Ryan was born in Dallas, but spent his high school years in the small town of Fredericksburg outside of Austin. After a brief stint at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Ryan came to Denton to attend the University of North Texas and play football for the Mean Green. Ryan graduated from UNT with a BBA in Real Estate and as a four year letter winner, team captain, and Shawn Kramer Award recipient in football. He also received numerous Real Estate awards during his college career including the Randall Smith Real Estate Scholarship, the TAAEF/Larry Niemann Scholarship, as well as being featured in Texas Apartment Magazine as an up and coming real estate professional. Before joining SBP, Ryan started his career with a national corporate tenant rep. firm where he was responsible for developing new business as well as assisting on national accounts for FedEx, IBM, Alcoa, and Dow Jones. Since returning to Denton, Ryan has become involved in several community organizations including: Greater Denton Wise County Association of Realtors, UNT Letterman’s Association, and Denton County Ducks Unlimited Chapter.
When not at work Ryan enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Kadie and their two dogs as well as outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.
